FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – A Florida woman who sent death threats to the father of a child murdered at “Sandy Hook” has learned her punishment. The father, who now lives in South Florida, sat down with 7’s Brian Entin for an exclusive interview.
Prosecutors said Lucy Richards was so convinced the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School was fake, she even threatened one of the young victim’s parents.
Lucy Richards on voicemail: “You’re going to die. You’re going to rot in hell. Death is coming to you real soon, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
The disturbing voicemails were left for Lenny Pozner.
His 6-year-old son, Noah, was the youngest of 20 first-graders and six adults — murdered at the Connecticut school in 2012.
He moved to South Florida to heal, but healing is hard with calls like this…
Lucy Richards on voicemail: “Did you hide your imaginary son in a attic? Are you still [expletive] him? You [expletive] Jew bastard.”
On Wednesday, Richards pleaded guilty to making a threat, and a judge in Fort Lauderdale sentenced her to five months in federal prison.
Lenny Pozner: “I am OK with the sentence. I think more importantly is the awareness it brings to this topic. To what is going on and what has been going on and the way victims are treated by a certain circle of people on the internet.”
